Big Trouble

Here it comes!
Price: $5 at the door

Big Trouble is new to the Kalamazoo Blues scene, but the members are experienced musicians with diverse musical backgrounds. Our players have played venues from coast to coast, bringing with them a variety of musical flavors, stirred them a pot and cooked up a gumbo of sounds to please the most discriminating musical ear. Our influences range from Buddy Guy, Fats Domino, JJ Kale, Candye Kane, Koko Taylor, Susan Tedeschi, Tommy Castro and many, many more. We perform originals and covers arranged “Big Trouble” style. Our members include: Freddie Dunn on keyboard. Freddie has played his keys all over the country. He has worked as a studio musician, and with the Chambers Brothers, 'Singing Sam Moore', the Troyers, and others. Tim Crandall on Guitar. Tim has been bending strings from Battle Creek to Phoenix for over 40 years. He started out with a group 'Young Jaguars' and toured throughout Michigan for years. His first exposure to the Blues was while during a military stint, (kinda like Elvis minus the movies and Ann Margaret). Tim made his way back to Kzoo and has been active jamming and writing his own material. L.A. Drumjunk is our newest and best looking member of Big Trouble. It’s true because his mom said so. His taste is eclectic and he is excited about joining a blues band. His first experience with the blues as a suburban white boy came one day when the Gap ran out of Khaki pants. He draws his inspiration from famed blues drummer, Blind Lightin’ Melon Howlin 'Big Stick' Greenburg. Bill Wilson on bass. Bill has been a stalwart on the 4 string since the 80’s. A former member of Loaded Dice, he played with them in Memphis, representing KVBA for the International Blues Competition. He’s a veteran of Missias’s , and the 'funky basement' of Wonderful’s. Mike Muszynski on guitar. He hails from, and was heavily influenced by the sweet soul sounds of Motown. He started playing guitar in the 60’s and has been playing ever since. His first band was 'The Revelations' specializing in rock and soul. They claimed to be the original garage band! Dana Scott on vocals. Dana provides the spark and driving force of Big Trouble, providing heaping servings of blues, soul, and funk. Dana has been performing in the greater Kalamazoo area for over 20 years. She has recorded some of her original material, and performs as a solo artist as well as with Big Trouble.
